Do I need 4-wheel drive to get there? You do not! There is one uphill section on the gravel road that leads to the cabin, but it’s easily done in any type of car. Just drive slowly. That said — if it snows, you might just want to make sure you’ve got a car you feel comfortable driving up and downhill, on gravel.
How many people can stay at the cabin? The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the second with two full beds. It’s perfect for 1-4 adults, or for two adults and two little ones. PS — we’re very dog-friendly.
What is there to do? There’s plenty to get into on the property, from an outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace to a kitchen with stuff you actually want to cook with. Oh, and taking in sunset from one of the two porches is a must. Otherwise, guests will have exclusive access to a long list of all our favorite places in the Shenandoah Valley.
How cabin-y is it? It’s pretty cabin-y – set on three acres on the side of a mountain, we get our share of wildlife and crawl-y things on property. That said, we also have lightning-fast fiber optic internet, strong cell service, central A/C and heat, and plenty of neighboring cabins. It’s the best of both worlds (in our humble opinion).
